- Stay away from e-mail cards - they are better than sending nothing but they won't make your recipient feel special.
- Put some of yourself in the design of the card - generic cards are ok, but most clients know when they receive a card from an automated system. Include your family picture, use cards with a photo of your local area, make the card reflect your personality.
- Send Happy New Year cards - wishing your clients and partners a happy and prosperous New Year is much more appropriate for business relationships than religious holiday wishes.
- Write personalized notes and sign your cards by hand - it may take a little extra time but nothing makes a client or business partner feel more connected to you than a personalized, hand-written note.
