The Basics of Repeat Business

When you think about repeat clients , it's almost too good to be true. Once you have established a repeat client base, not only will they keep giving you business, but they will recruit new business for you - and you don't even have to ask! It's never too late to start building this client base so take a look at this excellent article on building repeat business: Building Repeat Business from Day 1 by Brad Sugars

Here are a few of his top ten tips for building repeat business:
  • Never compete on price alone. Create added value like personal attention and customer service.
  • Capture customer information. You can reach your customers if you don't have their information. Don't forget email addresses - the cheapest marketing around!
  • Communicate through e-mail and direct mail. Cheap and easy!
  • Invest in leave behind marketing pieces: Make sure that you are always on your customer's minds.

Is Your Marketing Budget Too Small To Matter?

Many people think that an affordable marketing campaign is a non-effective marketing campaign. It's either a huge, expensive production or nothing. I came across a great article that shows that this is not the case at all. No matter the size of your campaign, the key is consistency and repetition! Here is an excerpt:

Every time someone sees something that makes them think of your company or your brand, it's like a drop in the bucket. In advertising language, these drops are called "impressions." The cool thing about impressions is that when prospective customers get enough positive impressions of your business, they:

- Remember your name and the name of your business
- See you as someone who can provide something they value
- See you as someone they can trust to deliver what you promise.

Sales don't happen until people recognize who you are, what you do, how you can help, and that you will deliver as promised.
